As a Registered Social Worker (clinical), trained as a Yoga Therapist (trauma informed), Mindfulness teacher, and with more than 30 years of experience in social services, I use a collaborative and interactive approach in my work. I have a unique skill set that combines my experience, training, and education in order to take a whole person view, body, mind, and heart, within my work.
I work alongside individuals experiencing a wide range of difficulties including brain injury, trauma, stress, caregiver fatigue, anger, depression, anxiety, chronic pain, grief and loss. I draw upon skills from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and the use of EMDR (trauma therapy). I am a skills based therapist who shares tools, resources, and strategies to build capacity for meaningful change.
